Terms and Conditions

By submitting your deposit, you agree to have read, understand and agree to the registration, deposits and payment Terms and Policies below.

General

It is impossible to list all of the contingencies that may apply to the various workshops and trips Jeff offers. If you are not sure of some aspect of a workshop, please ask. We want you to be comfortable with and aware of the payment policies.

You can expect to have fun learning with Jeff; this is an invaluable ingredient to the success of my workshops and expeditions. I’ve photographed at each location that we will use and are intimate with the weather, food, lodging and accessibility issues. If you have concerns and or special needs, let’s talk about them before you enroll. In some cases such as Africa, I rely on local guides to provide guidance with my instruction. I’ve chosen these partners with care and will be well pleased.

Unless otherwise noted in the individual workshop description there will not be any hard physical exertion. As a guideline, if you are not comfortable walking and carrying your gear for 200 yards (in the snow for winter workshops), please contact Jeff to discuss potential options.

Payments

Participation is not confirmed in any workshop until we receive your deposit. Your payment in full is required 60 – 90 days before the workshop date as specified on the individual workshop page.

I accept PayPal, credit card, personal check, money order, wire transfers payable in U.S. Funds for all deposits and payments. If you can think of another method, I am happy to give it a try!

Promotional discounts are effective from the date they are issued and are not available retroactively.

Confirmation

We will confirm receipt of your payment by email or telephone. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have regarding our policies.

Cancellations and Refunds

There shall be no refund for weather or acts of God that cause delay or cancellation before arrival or during the scheduled trip or workshop. We are not responsible for any additional costs due to weather or acts of God that cause delays or cancellations. Trip insurance is highly recommended.

All deposits made are non-refundable.

We will make no refunds of any previous payments for cancellations within 60 days of the workshop date.

Exceptions

Deposits may be rolled over to a future workshop. These rollovers must be used within 18 months of the original workshop.

If after you decide to cancel your reservation, the workshop reaches its stated capacity, we will refund all payments less a 3% processing fee.

We have the right to cancel any workshop up to 60 days (unless otherwise specified for your workshop) before the workshop date. Should this unfortunate circumstance arise, all payments made to us for the workshop are refundable or may be rolled over to a future workshop. Under no circumstances are we responsible for any other expenses such as flights, medical, car rentals and hotels that you may have incurred.

Trip Insurance
Please consider obtaining trip or travel insurance to cover eventualities that may cause travel difficulties or losses you may suffer. Consult your local insurance agent for details of such a policy.

There are not very many rules; we try to keep things very simple. If you are unclear about any of these policies or would like us to confirm your interpretation of these policies, please ask. By not asking, we believe that you understand these terms as we understand them.
